About This Event
For two nights only, Phoenix sculptor Paul Barringer opens his studio for the first public showing of his work.
With twenty five years in metal, beginning in Arizona bronze foundries casting work for artists like Louise Bourgeois, Kiki Smith and Tom Otterness, Paul has spent decades building his own body of work quietly and out of view. This is its debut.
He calls it ZenDustrial: organic form emerging from raw industrial material, where precision meets soul. Carbon steel, stainless and aluminum become vessels, roots, rings and trees, many holding something in tension. Pieces on view include Walking Tree, Float the Gap, Scaffold, Reflections, Release and Balancing Act.
Come meet the artist, see the work at full scale, and spend an evening with sculpture made to be felt as much as seen.
Saturday Nov 21 and Sunday Nov 22, 5 to 9 pm
2915 E Washington St #103, Phoenix. Go to the end of the building and enter through the first chain link fence on the left.
