Workshop: Watercolor Pour with Suzanne O’Malley
About This Event
Watercolor Pouring is a captivating and experimental method that invites artists to relinquish some control while producing astonishingly beautiful results. By leveraging the power of gravity and fluid dynamic, artists can create unique compositions that capture the essence of the medium.
In this 2 day workshop, students will learn how to achieve the rich, saturated color using watercolor.
Demonstrations in this workshop will include laying and masking techniques. In this workshop, students will learn how to sketch and mask their subject matter before pouring the watercolors. While the watercolor is wet, students will learn to manipulate the colors and textures by pressing in leaves or other materials to vary the effect. Various images will be provided but students are welcome to bring their own source material.
Watercolor experience encouraged.
