Workshop: Nerikomi with Dani Sirrine

In this Nerikomi crash course students will learn the basics of this technique and how it can be used. Specifically, students will gain experience in hand-building techniques, including lamination, hump mold and tube form cylinder construction, foot ring and handle making, plus fine detail finishing steps for bare pottery. Students who attend this workshop will form blocks of laminated-colored clay using the Nerikomi technique. At the end of the workshop students will leave with 2 – 4 pieces, as well as small pieces that can be used for jewelry, or other small projects.
