Workshop: Mixed Media Zentangle with Suzanne O’Malley

This workshop will focus on creating unique Zentangle designs and embellishing their work with a variety of tools and media. Zentangles are miniature pieces of unplanned, abstract, black and white art, created through a very specific method, to form structured patterns on a square paper tile. Students will see patterns unfold before their very eyes as they become completely engrossed in this “artistic meditation,” and learn, through guided practice, how to develop different “tangles” that can be expanded upon exponentially, adding color and texture using a variety of media including colored pencil, watercolor, embellishments, and more. Students in this workshop will enjoy escaping the world for a while as they create patterns and designs they never thought possible! All materials supplied & all levels welcome.
