Workshop: Ikebana Techniques with Ping Wei

In this three day workshop students will learn to create a variety of different Ikebana arrangements. In the first class students will learn to create a “Moribana” arrangement, using a shallow container (suiban) and a kenzan (frog). In the second class, students will learn a “Nagerei” arrangement, which uses a tall vase. In the third class, students will do a free-style arrangement using either the moribana or nagerei vases. The instructor will provide students with a ceramic suiban, a kenzan (frog), a tall vase, flowers, and other materials for a $90 supply fee.
