Workshop: Copper Patination with Joey Melinda Morgan

About This Event

Science and art become one in this workshop where students will receive a hands-on experience creating patina copper. Students will explore different methods of patination using household cleaning products, a butane torch, cooked eggs, a combination of chemicals and heat, and Sculpt Nouveau (a pre-mixed patina stain). Each method has its own unique artistic appeal and end result. All the processes are safe and can be easily recreated in a home environment, in fact students will be given written, easy-to-follow ‘how-to at home’ instructions for each method. The creative possibilities from this colorful workshop are endless ‘when chemistry becomes ART!’ So be sure to sign up today! All levels welcome and all supplies will be provided.
