Workshop: Copper Patination with Joey Melinda Morgan

Science and art become one in this workshop where students will receive a hands-on experience creating patina copper. Students will explore different methods of patination using household cleaning products, a butane torch, cooked eggs, a combination of chemicals and heat, and Sculpt Nouveau (a pre-mixed patina stain). Each method has its own unique artistic appeal and end result. All the processes are safe and can be easily recreated in a home environment, in fact students will be given written, easy-to-follow ‘how-to at home’ instructions for each method.
