Women on the Moon

Featuring Lori Dokken, Patty Peterson, Ginger Commodore, Joyann Parker, Judi Vinar, and Rachel Holder Women on the Moon showcases some of the greatest female artists from the 1960s, musicians such as Mama Cass, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Cher, Lesley Gore, Grace Slick, Janis Joplin, Dionne Warwick, Joan Baez, Ella Fitzgerald, Laura Nyro, Diana Ross, Barbra Streisand, Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt, Nina Simone, and many more. Producer and musical director Lori Dokken has assembled some of the Twin Cities’ finest female vocalists to transport audiences back more than 50 years to a time that was tumultuous but when “peace” and “love” were two of the most circulated words of the era.
