Strangely Familiar 2 : Solo exhibiiton of Lee Davis

Come join us Friday September 6th from 6pm-10pm for the opening reception of Lee Davis' solo exhibition entitled: Strangely Familiar 2. The exhibition runs September 6th - 27th "Strangely Familiar 2" continues the playful exploration of evolution, presenting a surreal alternate reality with new characters and environments. The focus is on a group of "Jelly Wing" characters migrating through deserts, mountains, forests, and farmlands. Experience their incredible evening flights in the stratosphere as they adapt and thrive in their unique surroundings, creating a bold yet strangely familiar world! Lee is a professional artist based in Phoenix, Arizona. He grew up in rural mid-Missouri and developed a natural curiosity for flora and fauna. "My childhood experiences have greatly influenced my art, inspiring me to create humorous and dynamic paintings and drawings that interpret the world around me." Lee states. Lee is also a guest artist at Royse Contemporary in Scottsdale and an alumnus of the artist-collective Eye Lounge in Phoenix. His work has been displayed internationally, nationally, and locally in Arizona, including at Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum, Arizona Museum of Natural History, Coconino Center for the Arts, Scottsdale Public Library, and {9} Gallery.
