Print Your Work! Focus on Photography – an Image Craft Open House! Photographers and artists, you’re invited to our second annual open house for creatives in celebration of Artlink’s Art Detour month-long series of events! Tour our facility and see the variety of services we offer to photographers and artists, from print reproduction on a wide range of media to custom framing and finishing. Artists will learn best practices for reproducing your original art, starting with photographing your artwork for the best file possible. Photographers will learn how to choose the right print substrate, and how to choose from our wide array of finishing options, limited only by your imagination! Special guests will also be on hand for networking and demos, so bring your questions! • Mike Olbinski, Emmy® Award winning photographer renowned for his storm photography, will be on hand to chat storm-chasing, as well as his main photography business – weddings! • Jon Arvizu, graphic designer and illustrator, will be on hand to answer questions about taking your design project from concept to practical commercial application. • April Howland, wildlife artist, professional globetrotter, and co-founder of the “Art on the Wild Side” program at the Phoenix Zoo will be on hand to chat about art reproduction from original paintings. • Davin Lavikka, photographer of fine art for artists, will demonstrate best practices for reproducing your original work, starting with photographing your art for the best file possible. • The Art Resource Center, a Tempe nonprofit started by artist Sherrie Zeitlin as a community resource for artists, will be on hand to talk about their mission to reuse and recycle art supplies! • MORE surprise guests TBD… Check back periodically on this post!
