PhxArt Educator Workshop – Upcycled Fashion

What are the environmental impacts of fast fashion and how can we creatively find ways to make wearable art? Join us to hear from fashion designer Angela Johnson, co-founder of fashion innovation incubator FABRIC, and learn about ways to make fashion more responsible and sustainable for the future. Using Phoenix Art Museum’s fashion exhibition The Collection: Greatest Fits (Vol. 1): The Art of Archiving Fashion as inspiration, educators will create their own upcycled fashion objects and garments and gain the skills and resources to bring this work back to the classroom.
