Paint Pouring Class

About This Event

Come learn how to create your very own masterpiece using a simple paint pouring technique that requires NO PAINT BRUSH and NO ARTISTIC TALENT AT ALL! This beautiful in home studio in NE Mesa can accommodate up to 10 painters. Reserve your spot early. Classes will start on time, so arrive early to get settled. Doors open 30 min. prior to class start time. Everything you need to paint is provided, including 11"x 14" canvases, paint, tools, aprons, and instruction to create a masterpiece! Artist, Heather Livingston will demonstrate the technique before the group starts. Then she will give step by step instruction through the process of the painting. What to Wear? Anything you you want! Aprons are provided to protect your clothes. Paintings will be very wet and cannot be tilted. They will need to dry overnight. You may pick up paintings the day after or schedule a time with the instructor to pick up at your convenience. Bring drinks if you wish No experience is necessary so bring the family, a date, or a friend or even come solo. Age 5 and up. Art gallery tour also available after each class

Painting has been a passion of mine since I was a child. As an adult I have discovered painting as a way I can express my feelings with colors and techniques I never imagined could be so therapeutic! I’ve been painting full time since 2017 and have covered every wall in my home. Acrylic is my medium, abstract is my style. My paintings are based on bright bold colors in a variety of styles and textures. I enjoy experimenting with new techniques and creating my own versions. For me, painting helps engage my thoughts and moods without verbal articulation. It’s an alternative mode of receptive and expressive communication. The visual and symbolic expression gives me a voice to communicate my experiences and empowers me as an individual to be confident and helps improve my self esteem. In 2018 I started teaching acrylic paint pouring classes and hosting Paint & Sip Parties at my home studio and venues. I love to teach and enjoy watching others be creative. It’s very rewarding watching others learn from me and create beautiful paintings! I have also done various commission jobs for individuals seeking art for a specific space or project. I believe the beauty of abstract art brings out the creativeness in everyone and inspires a person to look beyond lines, shapes and symmetry!
