Nightlight Screening Series | Photo-Role-Playing Sept 11 | 6:30 p.m. | Northlight Gallery, 605 E. Grant St., Phoenix 85004 Northlight Gallery presents five short films and video art works as part of our Nightlight Screening Series, a recurring event dedicated to presenting artists’ moving image works that engage with the exhibitions at Northlight Gallery. Our current exhibition, “Photo-Role-Playing,” is a group show curated by Cecilia Fajardo-Hill that explores how artists have used photography to examine tensions, objectification and oppression, as well as agency, experimentation and self-determination and autonomy. In response to the current exhibition, Bradley Smith (Guest Curator, Moving Image) has selected five works from artists working with film and video: Jordan Strafer, Ayanna Dozier, Charlie Shackleton, Mikey Foster Estes and Zachary Epcar.
