As an artist with over three decades of exploring, creating, and sharing the beauty of visual arts, I have journeyed through countless canvases, concepts, and collaborations. My art, much like my career, is a testament to the power of persistence, evolution, and community. Over the years, my artistic journey has been punctuated with numerous milestones, exhibitions, and accolades, each serving as a stepping stone towards greater artistic exploration and expression. In 2016, with the vision of creating a sanctuary for artists to converge, collaborate, and celebrate art in its many forms, I founded a co-working art studio in the heart of downtown Phoenix called Grand Arthaus alongside fellow artist Michael Viglietta and gallerist Laura Dragon. This studio has since become a hive of creativity, where artists from various backgrounds and disciplines come together to inspire and be inspired. It stands as a testament to the power of communal creativity, providing a space for artists to grow, learn, and thrive together. Building on the foundation of this vibrant co-working space, in 2017, I expanded my venture by establishing Sisāo gallery located on Grand Avenue in the lobby of the Oasis on Grand apartment complex in downtown Phoenix. In 2022, I became the Director of Mood Room, another gallery located in the Park Central business park. These spaces serve as cultural hubs that connect artists with the broader community. Through these spaces, I have had the privilege of curating an eclectic mix of over 150 exhibitions that not only showcase the talents of local and national artists but also stimulate meaningful conversations around art, culture, and society. Running these spaces has been a fulfilling journey that has allowed me to wear multiple hats – as an artist, curator, mentor, and advocate for the arts. Through every exhibition, workshop, and event, my goal has always been to create inclusive spaces that celebrate diversity, encourage artistic exploration, and foster a deeper appreciation for art in all its forms. As I look back on over thirty years in the art world, I am filled with gratitude for the experiences I've had and the relationships I've built. The journey has been as colorful and diverse as the artwork that adorns the walls of my studio and galleries. I look forward to continuing to contribute to the rich tapestry of the arts and to supporting the next generation of artists in their creative endeavors.
