Holiday Delights Concert with CAFE Flutes at Glendale Main Library

Celebrate the season! Listen to a mixture of international carols, traditional melodies, and winter favorites presented by a 7-member flute choir. This concert will be engaging, educational, and entertaining because it will actively involve the audience. There’s music for all ages at this free concert! Playing instruments that range from the rare 10-foot contrabass flute to the traditional piccolo, Central Arizona Flute Ensemble musicians surprise and enthrall audiences by playing diverse genres: oldies, classical, show tunes, jazz, folk, and pop music with a holiday theme. Look forward to: An introduction to the flute family: contrabass, bass, alto, C flute, and piccolo. Each instrument will be heard individually and then showcased as part of the flute choir sound Friendly, clear introductions to each piece along with interesting trivia about the music and composers Active engagement with the audience by asking questions, inviting comments, and encouraging singing and clapping. Opportunities to pose for a photo (or selfie!) with the gigantic contrabass flute, flutists, and instruments after the final applause has faded Free, no tickets needed. First come, first seated!
