Class: Exploring Handbuilding with Danielle Wood

About This Event

In this class students will have the opportunity to explore handbuilding in a variety of techniques. Handbuilding methods that will be explored are coiling, pinch pots, slab work, pillow forms, press molded forms, drape molds, and many more. The students will also learn about glazing their work and highlighting the forms they create with the glazes that they choose. In this class, testing glazes and exploring color will also be encouraged. Students will have the opportunity to explore Cone 5/6 glazes, underglazes, lusters, decals, marbling, and some Nerikomi. Projects will be suggested, and some students may have projects in mind that is also encouraged. Bring your creativity and this is a great opportunity to explore sculptural textured forms in clay. Skill Level: Some Ceramic Experience Encouraged * This class is available for both virtual and in-person students!
