Working in a variety of media, the 12 member artists invite viewers to “reflect on unconventional aspects in public and private daily life and expanding their understanding of what may be considered ordinary, deviant or both at once.” The exhibition, coordinated with Artlink’s Art Detour Month, will showcase artworks from the collective artists including paintings by Bob Allen, Sheri Ashton, and Yunie LeNoue; fiber art by Wendy Raisanen; photographs by Richard Pomraning and Dan Prendergast; ceramic sculpture by Susan Risi; photographic mixed media by Dan Friedman; monoprints by Harold Lohner and Marissa Vidrio; mixed media drawing by Deborah Hodder; and mixed media by Marlys Kubicek. During the Third Friday reception on March 15th at 7pm, all participating members will engage in a brisk discussion about the theme and their exhibited artworks.

A third-generation Arizona native, I’ve lived in the valley of the sun most of my life. Traditionally educated as an interior designer, I cultivated organic, contemporary living spaces and commercial venues for over 20 years. While raising my two children, I took a rewarding hiatus from design and opened a book-making art store. There I taught customers how to alternatively record and express themselves. In 2022, I graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a BFA in painting and am currently a member of the Five15Arts@Chartreuse artist collective. My art, although abstract, is centered on humanity and all the "nuts and bolts" that go with it.
