Class: Bold Botanicals in Watercolor with Patrice Al-Shatti

This three-part workshop (3 Saturdays) will guide students through using watercolor to paint a single, beautiful flower in close-focus realism. Students will find that when viewed closely, the leaves and petals of a botanical subject are amazing, abstract shapes. Students will be able to paint a striking, single flower that glows with light and dances with movement. This workshop is a great opportunity to take unique botanical reference images and paint a masterpiece. Watercolor experience is helpful, but not necessary as the class will also review fundamental techniques.
