Visual Arts Educator / Instructional Technology Specialist /Consultant/ Multimedia, Photography & Mix Media Artist, President of Totally ALive Education, LLC- Using Technology Creatively ™ ME is an experimental artist. Working with a variety of materials often creating artwork that causes you to think. Look for her Augmented Reality painting on display in the Art Alliance of the White Mountains Gallery as an example. Works in watercolors, acrylics, ink and college media as well as with technology. She has participated in a variety of exhibits in Phoenix, Surprise, El Mirage, Arizona State Legislator Building, Oregon, and Guam displaying her unique and traditional artworks. She recently had a successful artist grant to work on a mixed-media display showcasing her work in a virtual world. She also teaches artists how to use technology creatively. She has worked as a New Media Arts educator at the Dysart Fine Arts Academy at West Point, Surprise, AZ where her middle school students received foundational education in using Photoshop, and Corel Painter as well as learned the steps in 3D game and virtual world design. She was a video editor Adaptive Curriculum, Inc., a Multimedia Science and Math program online, and completed design lessons for Shutterfly Photo Story. Mary E. Odom holds a B.A. in Education and Fine Arts from the University of Guam, a M.Ed. in Educational Media, Instructional Design, and Computers from Arizona State University. Mary has been a speaker at major learning conferences. She is an Adobe Educational Leader (AEL), co-creator of ASU’s PT3 DVDs of Showcase Technology Integrated Instruction, co-designer of the Arizona Apple Learning Interchange website, an artist and has written or illustrated various instructional manuals and co-written articles in educational journals.
