About

Amongst other things, a B.A. (Southern Illinois University) and MFA (Instituto Allende) resulted in a relationship with Barbara DeVorzon (Devorzon Gallery in the Pacific Design Center) as a gallery artist. My abstract work was in a Frasier series, a movie: Shattered, and a South Pacific house of filmmaker Roger Zemekis. Through the gallery my paintings were commissioned for individual homes, a bank and cruise ship line. Santa Monica College had initiated a program titled Academy of Entertainment and Technology where I learned how to turn on a computer and earned a certificate in Interactive Media. It took some time before I combined two disciplines: abstract painting with paint and brush, computer painting with mouse and Apple computer. Apples' original iPad was released on April 3,2010 and Virtual Garages' first artwork was created fall of 2015...over a decade ago. Note: (Although older iPads are limited functionally they remain operational). From beginning, a vehicle (sculptural element) is the raison d'être for each completed work and still is. Initially my style was painterly: imaginary narratives and locations. Phoenix AZ is redolent with art and natural environment igniting a plethora of ideas and styles...hence what VG is today. My response to inevitable and relentless change is to curate and visually document the truly wonderful and unique surroundings using Virtual Garages' art to preserve the results of creativeness and call attention to its products and producers as transition continues apace. Sort of teamwork. Not only my own backyard (so to speak), but the awesome efforts worldwide. Each iPad contains over 500 artworks: personal, useful, individual, sharable museums.
