I have had an active studio practice for over 30 years. My abstracted landscape paintings feature strong contrasts of light and shadow employing a nuanced color palette that is both earthy and vibrant. My focused compositions are directly influenced by my years working as a graphic designer. I also create multi layered mixed media pieces using combinations of acrylic, gouache, found images and text, ink, paper, and fabric. After earning a degree in graphic design I continued fine arts education with formal studio classes and ongoing self-study. My professional art career includes roles in non-profit arts organizations as visual arts faculty, gallery management, curation and installation .
