Hoagie Jay

Hoagie Jay is an up-and-coming acrylic marker artist based in Glendale, AZ. They graduated from Arizona State University in 2017. Hoagie has dabbled in many art forms over the years before finally settling on acrylic paint markers in 2024 while attending art therapy. That year, they began to market their work both online and at Phoenix’s First Fridays, where they table inside Warehouse 1005. Hoagie specializes in tiny canvases (as small as 2.5 x 2.5 inches) and most enjoys painting colorful, whimsical, animal-themed pieces. They also greatly enjoy painting pet portraits for friends and colleagues. Hoagie has exhibited inside Warehouse 1005 in Phoenix for over a year, as well as at the Arizona State Fair in 2025 and at Nevada Fine Arts in Reno, NV in 2026. Their Etsy shop, Sunstone Sandwich, features prints of their paintings as well as hand-painted magnetic canvases, another one of their specialties.
