Gail Haire was born in St. Louis, Missouri and has lived in Springfield, Illinois; Seattle, Washington; and northern Virginia before settling in Scottsdale, Arizona. Haire is a contemporary Southwest artist who began her painting career after working in the marketing and sales field. She uses a rich palette of earth tones, vivid blues, fiery reds, and brilliant oranges. Haire creates bold compositions with her unique vision of the beauty of Southwest landscapes. The artist focuses on simplicity, calm, and color, conveying a sense of peace with simplified lines and silhouetted shapes. Haire has backpacked the Grand Canyon multiple times, and it is a source of great inspiration in her work. The artist is part of the Sonoran Arts League in Scottsdale, and her work has been shown in exhibitions across the United States and has commissioned work hung at the corporate boxes in the Arizona Cardinals Football Stadium. Gail Haire currently lives and works in Scottsdale, Arizona.
