Bee is a nice & ambitious artist born and raised in the downtown Phoenix area. She makes color-rich oil portraits as a way of paying attention. Carefully layered paint, line studies and the smell of mineral spirits mark her greatest hours. Bee's goal is simple and endlessly satisfying: to be a good artist, which means staying curious, seeking experience, and developing a community where looking closely is valued and shared. Bee's paintings often live on canvases bordered with or made entirely of clay, grounding the image like a relic or offering.
