Exploring the dichotomies in human nature, Meghan O'Connell - the artist behind Dirty Teacup Designs, tells stories within a single page of paper, canvas and the garments she creates. Celebrating mischief and beauty, combining dark and light, ominous scenarios and their consequences – all with a dash of cheeky humor. From a very young age she loved depicting the details of fabric, design & sassy dames. However, it blossomed after graduating with a degree in Fashion Design and Fashion Illustration. She fell in love with the concepts behind illustrating her designs, eventually turning them into the surreal and peculiar art she is known for now. She uses her work to find clarity and humor from life’s experiences.
