About

Linda Harrison-Parsons creates her works from what she sees in nature. Documenting moments in time. Past travels through North America, Europe, and Africa, offer new adventure, featuring wildlife and nature. A new body of work is inspired by her photo references and live plein air sketches. A BFA from MD Inst., College of Art, and MFA from, George Washington University. Certified Artist in Resident through the Maryland State Arts Council, teaching all levels of students, throughout Maryland. Developing workshops for adults, alternative school programs and working with special needs students since 1994. Linda has taught in New Mexico, Wisconsin, Michigan, Florida, Maryland, Virginia, Arizona, and Zambia. An award-winning artist whose work is inspired by the natural world. All her work is based on the strength of drawing. Her works are created with pastel, charcoal, often in a mixed medium process on handmade cotton rag paper. Works are in museums, galleries and private collections throughout North America, South America, Africa, and Europe.
